The Collège Universitaire National des Enseignants en Addictologie (CUNEA, National University College of Addiction medicine academics) is a national institution representing academics teaching in the addiction medicine field. The CUNEA defines the syllabus for the following courses: second and third year of medicine (only regarding the addiction medicine component), Formation Spécialisée Transversale (cross-training specialised in addiction) and Capacité d'Addictologie (addiction medicine capacitation). The academic departments of addiction medicine in hospitals located in the Lyon area are affiliated to the CUNEA.
L’ École de Psychologues Praticiens de Lyon (School for psychology practitioners in Lyon) has partnered with SUAL and AddiPsy regarding theoretical and practical teaching of addiction medicine to psychology students. For further information on this partnership, click here.
Addict'Aide is the most visited website in France on information and education on addictions. It contains a great deal of information on addictions, destined to both laymen and health professionals. The SUAL is a partner of this website and coordinates Addict'Aide's literature monitoring, which regularly includes small articles explaining in French recent international scientific articles in the field of addiction medicine. The journal LE FLYER was created in 2000 with the objective to publish both scientific and practical information for addiction medicine actors. LE FLYER owns a Facebook page; some of their publications were read by more than 20,000 people. Dr Benjamin Rolland, head of the SUAL, is a member of LE FLYER's editorial committee; one of his projects is a series of interviews of addiction medicine professionals all over the world, called "Les addictions, c'est comment ailleurs ?" (Addictions, elsewhere)
The Groupe de Recherche en Alcoologie et Addictologie de Provence (GRAAP, research group on alcohol use disorder and addiction medicine in Provence) offers days of training and talks about the evolution of practice in the addiction medicine field in the French region "Provence-Alpes Côte d'Azur. The SUAL regularly takes part in projects with the GRAAP in the context of regional collaboration on addiction medicine.
